All internet users should be aware of the online scam known as “phishing” (pronounced fishing). Phishing involves the use of email messages that appear to come from your bank or another trusted business, but are actually from imposters.
You have indicated a preference to electronically communicate with SNB Bank, National Association (which is also referred to in the following conditions of use and terms of service by the words “we”, “us”, and/or “our”) for the transaction and/or service you requested from us. We use SNB Bank, National Association Portal (which is also referred in the following conditions of use and terms of service as “portal”) to electronically communicate with individuals for the transaction and/or service you requested from us.
When you click on the “I accept” button below to create your user account within the portal you will be agreeing to all of the following conditions of use and terms of service associated with the portal. If you want to consent to have us electronically communicate with you for the transaction and/or service you have requested from us then you must read and agree to all of the following conditions of use and terms of service by clicking on the “I accept” to complete your registration with the portal:
- Contact Us. If you have any questions for us about the portal and/or the conditions of use and terms of service associated with the portal then you can contact us using our contact information that appears on the portal’s login page.
- You Can Request To Also Receive Printed Copies In Addition To What We Send You Electronically. You have the right to also receive printed copies of any information or disclosures we electronically send you in the portal. You agree that a decision by us to also send you printed copies in addition to what we electronically send you in the portal does not repudiate or otherwise revoke your consent to electronically communicate with us. Instead, you agree that it merely means we have the right to also send you printed copies if and whenever we decide to do so in addition to what we electronically send you in the portal.
- You Can Revoke Your Consent To Electronically Communicate With Us At Any Time. You have the right, without any cost, to revoke your consent for us to electronically communicate with you going forward by using any of the Contact Us options described above to notify us of this decision. If you revoke your consent for us to electronically communicate with you going forward then you recognize, acknowledge and agree that your decision to do so may force us to take additional steps and possibly increase the amount of time it will take us to fulfill the transaction and/or service you requested from us as we transition to a paper only communication workflow with you.
- You Must Provide Us With And Maintain A Valid E-Mail Address. You understand and agree you must provide us with and maintain a valid e-mail address so we can use the portal to periodically send you notifications about the transaction and/or service you requested from us. You understand and agree that you will promptly login to your user account on the portal to open and view the information and/or disclosure associated with a notification whenever you receive an e-mail notification from the portal. If the notification sent to you in the portal requests an action on your part, including sending us documents as attachments through the portal, then you will make every effort to promptly perform the requested action or use any of the Contact Us options described above to promptly notify us why you cannot perform the requested action. If you ever have any questions for us about any action requested of you through the portal then you may use any of the Contact Us options described above to obtain more information from us about the requested action.
- You Must Have And Maintain An Account With An Internet Service Provider. You therefore agree you currently have and will maintain an account with an Internet service provider where you are able to send e-mail and to receive e-mail with hyperlinks to websites. If you ever need to update your e-mail address or any other contact information associated with your user account in the portal then you may use any of Contact Us options described above for assistance on how to do so.
- You Must Use A Compatible Computer With The Portal. You understand and agree that you must have a compatible computer with an Internet connection and compatible Web browser installed on it and this compatible computer must be able to open and electronically view portable document format (“PDF”) files so you can access the information and disclosures we electronically send you in the portal.
- You Must Use A Computer Printer With Your Compatible Computer If You Want To Print On Paper Anything We Send You Electronically. You understand and agree that you must have a computer printer connected to your compatible computer if you want to print on paper a copy of any information and disclosures we electronically send you in the portal.
- Minimum Compatible System Requirements Are Available On Portal’s Login Page. You understand and agree that the minimum compatible system requirements required for you to access, view, save, and/or print any information and disclosures we electronically send you in the portal are found on the portal’s login page. You are indicating you have reviewed the minimum compatible system requirements found on the portal’s login page and you are agreeing your computer, your electronic storage device, and your printer meet all these minimum compatible system requirements. If you have any questions about the portal’s minimum compatible system requirements then you may use any of the Contact Us options described above to notify us of any questions you may have on this topic. You are also agreeing you will only use a computer, an electronic storage device, and/or a printer which meets all the minimum compatible system requirements for you to access, view, save, and/or print any information and disclosures we electronically send you in the portal.
- Our Data Retention Policy. The information and disclosures we electronically send you in the portal will only be stored there and available to you for as long as our internal policies and procedures indicate it’s reasonably prudent for us to do so to fulfill the transaction and/or service you requested from us. You therefore understand and agree that you must have an appropriate electronic storage device with the compatible computer you use to access the portal if you ever want to locally save a copy of what we electronically send you through the portal. - Password Security And Password Strength. You understand and agree that it’s important for you to protect your login credentials and password that you use to access the portal. You therefore understand and agree that it’s important for you to keep your password private and to use a strong password since anybody who knows your password may access your account. You understand that we have minimum password strength requirements for the portal and you agree that your user account in the portal will comply with these requirements.
- You Consent To Use Of Electronic Records And Electronic Signatures. You understand and agree you are consenting to receive communications from us electronically using the portal and that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications we provide you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communication be in writing. You are therefore consenting to electronically receive information and disclosures from us and this means you are agreeing to the use of “electronic records” as that term is defined by applicable law in the United States of America. We may also provide you with the option to electronically sign such electronic records. You are therefore also agreeing to the use of “electronic signatures” as that term is defined by applicable law in the United States of America.
- You Are Responsible For Reading And Understanding These Conditions Of Use And Terms Of Service Before Clicking “I accept” To Complete Your User Account Registration In The Portal. You are verifying that you are able to view, read and understand all of these conditions of use and terms of service; and that you alone are responsible for reading and understanding all these conditions of use and terms of service before you agree to be legally bound by these conditions of use and terms of service.
